Since we only have one life to live, I think it should be our goal as individuals to shine as bright as we can and believe that whatever we’re doing, will make a difference in the end.
After browsing countless photography websites and photo blogs, I quickly realized that I wasn’t the only one out there taking pictures. In some ways this made me feel insignificant and left me with this feeling that I will never measure up to the goals I have set for myself. But I found comfort in knowing that when you truly are passionate about what you do, all of these troubling thoughts seem to melt away. Each and every one of us is given a unique gift that only we can discover and make the best of. Some people know they’re gifted, but the lack the know how, drive or inspiration to do anything about it. If that’s the case, then I think it is up to us to find people that can help us achieve our goals.
I believe in order to shine as a creative you have to have passion about what you’re doing. It’s something that you think about all the time. Whever you go, there it is. And there are times when I don’t have a camera with me when I see amazing images waiting to be photographed. I see them and acknowledge there existence. Having this sensitivity to the life around you comes with practice, hard work and time. It’s knowing that we all make mistakes in life and when we make these mistakes having the intelligence and discipline to learn from it.
There will be a day when we all look back on our lives and we will be faced with the question “did I live my life the best I could have?” I believe the best way to be happy with the answer to that question is take the gift the creator has given us and use it to the best of our knowledge.
