My Pricing and Process of Photographing Events

I realize that some functions could only last for a couple hours and some event planners ponder over the photography budget and the best photographer that will best match their needs. 

Here's the way I normally work. 

1. I usually arrive early at the event before the guests arrive so I can photograph the venue empty and any decor set-up for the function

2. Once guests start to arrive I photograph candid/arranged couples and group shots

3. Get any planned or spontaneous speeches or toasts

4. Some table shots when people aren't eating

5. Dancing and DJ shots

After the event I will edit, catalog and process the photos before uploading them to a private online gallery where people can view, share and buy prints on websites such as SmugMug, Collages, etc.)

Depending on my current work load and the size of event, I try and deliver photos to people within a week of the event in the form of a private online gallery, CD/DVD disc and or hotlink to image download.
