Wedding Vendors (event planners, DJ's/MC's, hair and make-up, bakeries/cakes, florists, hotels
Over the years I have met quite a few wedding vendors when I photograph weddings. So I decided to dedicate this page to wedding vendors (event planners, DJ's, cake bakeries, videographers, florists, hotels) that I like and would recommend people planning a wedding. Please keep in mind that this page is under construction and that I plan on adding names and contact information of all the people who I think do quality work.
Event Planners
It wasn't until after I worked a few weddings with event planners that I could truly appreciate the value they do throughout the day. They take a lot of the stress of having you or someone in your family running the timetable of events that happen throughout the wedding day. Event planner coordinate with all your vendors by communicating the days schedule and making sure everyone is delivering on time. |

DJ's and MC's & Lighting
Being a music lover and knowing that the DJ (Disc Jockey) and or MC (master of ceremony) is a key person at any wedding. This person ultimately becomes the voice of your party. So if you want someone who keeps the energy level fun and positive, you'll want to make sure you interview this person carefully. I know when I've met good DJ or MC when I see the crowd going wild and people laughing at annoucements they make. |

Hair and Make-Up
First of all I must confess, I'm a guy and really know nothing about styling hair and or make-up. But being a portrait photographer, I do understand the importance of this persons role. I don't know what it is, but I can tell from watching countless brides having their hair and make-up done, it's an enjoyable experience. So this is why I always like to photograph this process. And while I'm doing that I get a chance to meet and talk with a lot of stylists. |
Bakeries (wedding cupcakes and cakes)
I don't know what it is, but wedding cakes seem to symbolize a lot about who the bride and groom really are. Set out and displayed in front of all your friends and family to see and eventually eat. I've even seen weddings where the bride and groom forego the traditional wedding cake and go with fancy cup cakes instead. |
Hotels
A wedding is a time when many of your friends and family will be flying driving in from out of town to go to your wedding. But of course they all can't stay at your pad, so it's good to have some nice places to recommend when they ask. |
