Some of My Favorite Pinhole Photographs

If you've ever shot film or used film or photographic paper negative pinhole cameras, you know how difficult it can be to get a really stellar photographs. And it's even more of a challenge when working with film pinhole cameras. At any rate, over time I've created a few images that I'm rather found of and I've decided to list them on this webpage. Of course you can browse the other pinhole galleries, but I wanted this page only to have my personal favorites.

Since pinhole cameras have now way to preview the photo before you open the shutter, you have to use your mind's eye to imagine how the photo will be captured on the film. You have to take a leap of faith and trust yourself that you've positioned the camera in the best position to get the image you're after. In the MintyCam image above, I did just that. I place the camera at the base of this fine art sculpture and then peered over the top of it knowing that the texture and light reflected by the art piece would make for an interesting image. Of course I have no control over where the light leaks and film sprockets will go... but then that's half the fun of it... no knowing.
