Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle Honu North Shore Kauai Hawaii

One of my favorite Hawaiian Islands to visit is Kauai. I like how lush and green it is and the coral reefs and underwater sea creatures are amazing, like this green sea turtle. Getting a photo like this is rare. Turtles don’t like it when you swim under or in front of them. I happened to dive down just in time as he was swimming towards me. Plus I had been swimming and diving non aggressively with this particular turtle for awhile, so he knew I wasn’t a threat. I never chase them or try and touch them. That stresses them out.
