Enjoying a bonfire on the beach in Orcas Island, Washington state

This picture speaks a lot to me. Being on vacation with your family in a new and exciting place and enjoying conversation around a campfire next to the water. The sky is almost dark just after sunset and it’s starting to get cold so everyone huddles around the fire telling stories of the past and maybe future. I’ve learned that there’s nothing more precious than family and friends. That’s what makes us who we are. Yes, we are our own person but we also get a lot of our characters from the people we spend time with. The add and subtract at times but that’s how it goes. You give but sometimes you’re down so you take. That’s OK. It’s pictures like this that remind of this and make me thankful for who I am and for those who I share my life with.
