After the sunset I wanted to try a new LED light that I had put together. These particular portable lights come with over 100 LED’s and have a brightness adjustment dial on the back. The cheaper ones run on AA batteries but the newer high tech ones have lithium rechargeable batteries. The one I was using, the LED’s were a cooler in temperature, so they supplied gels that you could put in front of the light. The ones provided were a little warm, so I custom made my own using a thin 1/8 CTO (85A) gel taped over the top. I found that one light wasn’t enough to give the warm/soft lighting I wanted, so I used two of them taped together. This was I have over 200 LED’s working for me. I then dialed the power way back on the light and used the Canon 85mm f/1.2 L lens to capture this portrait.
