Daimon-zaka Black and White Cedar Forest Path Japan

a black and white photo looking up at the cedar forest canopy from the Daimon-zaka cobble stone path in Japan

Whenever I hike in the forest, I always look up at the canopy of the trees. It’s always so interesting and complex. So many shapes, lines and textures. You can become lost in it as the wind blows it back and forth. I love converting these types of photos into just black and white because now you can really see the relationship of light and dark. How they come together and interact with each other. Each image having it’s own unique pattern and design.
