Daimon-zaka slope Nachikatsuura Japan Stone Path~Roots

a stone path artfully paved so that they don't disturb the roots of the Japanese cedar trees the trail leads through. You can see a persons legs and shoes standing on the path

This is a view of me standing on the stone pathway of the Daimon-zaka slope in Nachikatsuura, Japan. Throughout Japan, I was impressed with how the Japanese people used natural materials to create paths in harmony with nature. Instead of cutting our chopping the large root out of the path they paved in and around it. Respecting nature and living in harmony with it.
