DJI 360 Pano Sphere Abstract Organic Photographic Art

360 degree world view panoramic photograph of a neighborhood in Summerland Santa Barbara with large tree in foreground and sunsetting in the background surrounded by blue sky and white puffy clouds.

One of the best features of the DJI Mini 3 Pro is the 360 degree panoramic mode. When I first tried this mode, I was like year, that’s cool but what do you do with a 360 degree photo. They’re super wide and hard to view unless you zoom in on them and then I had an idea. What about getting really close to subject matter that has an organic shape like a tree or an interesting plant? Run the 360 degree pano mode and see what you get. Then go into the software on the drone and manipulate the image by pinching and rotating the photo. Wow, some cool perspectives can be achieved. Sometimes we discover new ways of seeing the world by playing around with things. You’ve never going to break out of the same old thing is you’re constantly just doing the status quo. Sure, people might not think what you’re doing is interesting but you’re intrigued by it. That alone is reason enough to persue it.
The only issue is that these have to be saved as screenshots, so the resolution isn’t super high. I plan on trying this a lot more in the future. This shot was created over Thanksgiving weekend in Summerland, Santa Barbara.
