Garra Rufa Little Fish That Nibble Your Feet Thailand

I can’t believe I actually took this photo. I had heard about this before coming to Thailand but I had a hard time believing that people actually did this. These little fish are called Garra Rufa or otherwise known as “Doctor fish”. Apparently the people that keep these fish normally don’t feed them so when they get customers, naturally the fish are going to want to eat. I wonder if they fed them if they would actually want to nibble on your feet. Regardless I find it cruel to the fish by putting them in a tank and forcing them to get there dinner like this. To be fair, maybe nibbling on your feet tastes better than fish food out of a can?
