Green Japanese Maple Trees Leaves by the Water Kyoto Japan

looking through the branches of a Japanese maple tree at a lake. Some of the leaves of the tree are starting to turn colors.

If you’ve looked through my nature photos, you cal tell I’m into trees. From Torrey pines, Japanese cedars (sugi), Pinyon pines, Joshua trees (which aren’t really trees) to Japanese maples. This could be one of my favorite trees. That’s a tough one because I love them all, so to pick a favorite is almost unthinkable. I just love the shape of the leaves and how they change into so many wonderful colors. It truly is a magical tree.
