Hiking Japans Kumano-Kodo Nakahechi Route Chris Keeney Selfie

GoPro Hero 11 selfie of Chris Keeney while hiking the Kumano-Kodo Nakahechi Route in Japan

I think you can see by the smile on my face that I’m enjoying myself hiking the Kumano-Kodo Nakahechi Route in Japan. This is a selfie I took with my GoPro Hero 11 after eating lunch by this stream. If you look carefully you can see my wife in the top right corner of the photo. A friend and old coworker mentioned that they would like to see more smiling photos on myself on my website, so here’s a start.

Whenever I have ideas about photos or just an interesting point about life, I will make a note of it in Google Keep. I’ll really like this program/app. I use it on my smartphone, so it’s easy to find and associate images with thoughts. Maybe the image doesn’t have anything to do with the thought, it seemed appropriate at the time. During the time I was hiking the Kumano Kodo, I made notes in. One was “Haste Makes Waste”. I won’t go into why I wrote it down but that statement is so true.

I still like writing in paper journals but I find using, I can access my thoughts and ideas whenever, wherever. I can make links to other ideas and people. It’s genius software really.

I’m not associated or sponsored by Google but I definitely like the products they make. Google Docs, Gmail, Earth, Maps… all so on. Thanks Google.
