This image is a perfect example of the saying “happy accidents”. I just had made a pinhole camera out of an old Ansco Flash 620 film camera and took it to La Jolla shores beach in San Diego, California. I was making some exposures of our friends baby with the camera resting on the sand, when all of a sudden a wave came in and got the camera soaked with salt water. As a result it “stained” the film, which showed when I processed the negatives later in the darkroom.
