Photographic paper negative test photograph made with antiqued tin
I’m a big fan of pinhole portraits and when I don’t have a willing subject around to pose for me, I turn the camera on myself. Since the exposures are relatively long, it’s almost impossible to remain completely still, so it almost makes more sense to make the photo more interesting by moving around during the exposure. I’ve seen some great photos created by other pinhole photographers using this same technique. I guess that’s just another fun reason to try out pinhole photography or to make your own camera. This camera was made out of an old antique tin I found at a garage sale. I love it… art that creates art.
