Shinji Ohmaki Art Tokyo Black and White Abstract Photography

I was instantly drawn to this art installation by Japanese artist Shinji Ohmaki in the Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho. I have nothing against the colors of this art piece but I wanted to see how the shapes and lines would come together when converted to black and white. I love how this artist used mirrors and reflective surfaces to reflect the buildings and people walking around it. It’s as if the sculpture was changing in time right in front of your eyes.

東京ガーデンテラス紀尾井町で展示された日本人アーティスト、大巻伸嗣氏のインスタレーションに、一瞬で心を奪われました。作品の色彩に異論はないのですが、白と黒の空間で、形や線がどのように溶け合うのかを見てみたかったのです。特に、鏡や反射面を用いて周囲の建物や人々を映し出す手法が素晴らしいと思いました。まるで、彫刻が目の前で時間とともに変化していくかのようです。
