The “Buddha Sugi” tree in Yakusugi Land is significant because it is a very old and large Japanese cedar tree (Yakusugi) that is named for its shape, which resembles the bumps on Buddha’s body, making it a revered and iconic sight within the nature reserve; visitors can see this tree on one of the well-maintained hiking trails in Yakusugi Land.
