As a photographer I am conditioned to see and interpret the light. I can imagine Kūkai or better known as Kōbō Daishi walking through these same bamboo forests and thinking about his own life. To appreciate life and all its wonderful gifts. Yes, it can be difficult at times but that’s what makes the good times like this so wonderful. A reminder that life is a blessing and should be cherished.
