Salk Institute photographer Chris Keeney on a ladder with his camera in the Courtyard

I was asked by the facilities department at Salk to photograph some of the large travertine tiles in the main coutyard. This required a ladder, so obviously that looked odd as the scientists and tourists passed by. A fellow employee took this photo with their phone and later sent it to me. I guess using a ladder in the Salk Courtyard is just one of the many privileges I have as the at the current Salk Institute photographer.
