35mm Kodak infrared film photograph of a Historic House Landmark in Lahaina Hawaii

infrared fish eye 35mm film photo of Baldwin Home Museum in Lahaina Maui Hawaii

This image of the Baldwin Home Museum in Lahaina Maui Hawaii was photographed when I was still in college at the Rochester Institute of Technology in upstate New York. I remember someone in the photography department talking about infrared film and I was instantly intrigued by the process. I decided I would give it a try. I bought some 35mm Kodak High-Speed Infrared film and loaded it in my Canon AE-1 Program SLR. I also had a Sigma 14mm fisheye that could use small filter by opening the inside of the lens screwing it in. I remember the filters being pretty small. I took it on a family vacation to Maui and created this photo while I was there. I think this was create in 1989. I processed the negatives when I got back to school in the darkroom and was thrilled to get a number of usable shots.
