Bathing in Shades of Green Tokyo Japan Nature Photography 2

shades of green leaves of a cherry tree overlapping other in soft focus

Even though blue is my favorite color, green holds a special place in my heart. There’s something about this color that really makes me happy. I guess the gardener in me comes out. I remember when I was younger and germinated my first seeds for a vegetable garden and seeing the green seedlings poking through the top of the soil. I was amaze that there was life in that seed waiting to come alive. This photo was taken in the garden of the Motorikyu Nijo Castle (二条城, Nijōjō), in Kyoto, Japan. These are the green leaves of the cherry trees that grow along on of the many walkways on the property. I can only imagine how beautiful these tress are when they’re in full bloom in the Spring. Even when they don’t have pink and white flowers, these trees are amazing to look at.
