Experimenting with developer and photographic paper in the darkroom

One of the great aspects of working in a photographic darkroom is that you often get to experiment with the processing and development of the negatives you create. The 5×7 paper negative print shown above was done first by making an expose on a camping trip I did to Baja California Mexico with some friends. We stopped in this one town to get some tacos and tequila and next to the store was a roadside shrine with a Guadalupe prayer candle inside. So I set up my pinhole camera and made an exposure. When I got back from the trip I had this crazy idea of putting developer on my hand and then pressing it onto the paper negative and then letting it develop. This print turned out quite nice showing my hand and palm prints merged into the photo. Another successful experimental photograph.
